12 Mar Good Highland Private Dining Experience

It was lovely to be asked to cater for a belated 21st birthday recently at Inshriach House, Aviemore.  A lovely group of students studying in Edinburgh were the guests.

Mum booked Speyside Smoked Salmon with Gruth Dhu Starter, followed by Rare Highland Venison Fillet and Sticky Toffee Pudding – nothing Highland about this one except it was cooked by our Good Highland Chefs 🙂

Plates were clean and the Good Highland Hospitality was thoroughly appreciated by our young guests  – what a pleasure their appreciation was.

Then from Mum – this lovely message:

“What an absolutely wonderful evening you created for Cali and friends on Saturday!”

“I’ve already had several messages from her guests telling me that the Inshriach celebration will be one of the fondest memories of their four years in Scotland, with your marvellous dinner being the highlight – not only the incredible food but also the table setting and exceptionally charming service. Cali told me about your extremely kind extras, like serving their champagne, and she couldn’t believe they had absolutely no clearing-up to do afterwards – which was a huge bonus of course!”

“I was so thrilled that you gave them such a fantastic feast and I’ve already seen some photos showing how beautiful the table looked. Most of the guests, although they all adore Edinburgh, hadn’t seen much of the Highlands before so I’m sure you’ll share my delight that they’ve glimpsed more of Scotland’s beauty  – and enjoyed its splendid fare. In fact, they’re already making plans to regularly repeat the event after they graduate next summer, when most of them will probably return south. So you can tell the Scottish Tourist Board what a favour you’ve done them!”

“You and Mike will definitely be the first people I’ll call if, as I hope, we’ll be arranging another get-together in the area and I’ll certainly be telling any friends heading in your direction to do the same. “
