It really is BBQ and Hog Roast Season! Our kit has had a very busy weekend and will be sparkling clean and ready for use again this weekend. We like to do things a little differently at Good Highland Food and apart from using great local suppliers to find the best Highland reared meat, we have real attention to detail in the cooking, in fact our chef is a bit special when it comes to cooking meat and if you’re a veggie – he does a great range of veggie BBQ too!
We are finding casual dining to be quite a trend at Good Highland Food and a Hog Roast is just one of the options – it could be Hog on slate plates with a Hog roast jus, honey glazed vegetables, chef’s own stuffing and roast potatoes or something more summery with a delicious range of Good Highland Salads….. and we pay as much attention to the bread – we have two favourite options – The Baker in Inverness has some really special rolls as does Jane Stokes in Glen Affric– organic and rustic bread from Loch Ness side. We’ve always added our own Apple Sauce but the first time we added our Chef’s own Stuffing, we knew it would always have to be on the Good Highland Hog Roast Menu!
Our Hog Roast machine is available for hire but we highly recommend our team to cook and serve – then we’ll allow you to call it a Good Highland Hog Roast Experience.
