Mike is an experienced host who is first and foremost passionate about the Highlands Mike Crook, Managing Director, Good Highland Food Ltd & Islands and the great local produce available in this beautiful Scottish region. This passion runs right through the entire Good Highland Team and is central to everything we do.

Mike boasts over three decades of experience in the hospitality industry, starting out in one of the Highland Capital’s best hotels when he was just 15 years old! A lover of great food and fine wines, Mike is regularly found tasting new wines and discussing food and wine matching with the team at l' Art du Vin, Berry Brothers & Rudd and, on his latest trip to London, Fortnum & Mason.

Yvonne Crook

Yvonne manages the marketing and events team behind the Good Highland brand. Yvonne Crook, Director, Good Highland Food  With a long and varied career in the Highland Hospitality and Events Industry, there are few people, venues or professionals in the industry she has not worked with!

As director of the Highland Food & Drink Festival for nearly 10 years, Yvonne’s commitment to the Highlands, its food & drink and wider hospitality industry is well known and is only equaled by her passion for creating Great Highland experiences!

As a husband and wife Team, Mike and Yvonne Crook have been providing high profile catering services in the Highlands for over 20 years. At the restaurant at Eden Court Theatre they routinely catered for large weddings and party political conferences while they also developed the unique Cafe Balnain within the Home of Highland Music and its famous ceilidhs and comedy nights.

Boasting decades of varied experience in event catering, management, marketing and coordination – as well as an unrivaled knowledge of the region – the Good Highland Team takes pride in bringing the best of Highland Hospitality to your event, whatever the occasion!
